About the organizer
DOMTRU works with multiple agencies, organisations and communities to facilitate and research a population based approach to reducing the impact of the diabetes and obesity epidemics. The main goals are to maintain a program that:

demonstrates prevention of complications among those with diabetes in the local community
-
studies the mechanisms behind the aetiology and pathogenesis of obesity and diabetes and their complications
DOMTRU educates and trains health professionals in the management and prevention of obesity and diabetes. A main focus is to support the health education of people with diabetes and/or obesity and to maintain a program that improves the health of the people of South Western Sydney through supporting the work of other South Western Sydney health agencies.
