Join a LIVE art workshop to learn how to paint an image of a loved one, special person or historic figure who has passed. This portrait can be placed on an altar you prepare to honor and celebrate this special person during Día de los Muertos, which is celebrated on November 1st and 2nd in Mexico and other parts of Latin America. This workshop will be taught by Chelo Montoya, Assistant Vice President of Education and Public Programs at Los Angeles County of Art (LACMA). Chelo is a native of the Central Valley and is a strong supporter of art programming for youth. All proceeds from the event support Arte Americas, a Latino cultural arts center in downtown Fresno.
Price of the workshop:
$15 for the art kit
