DFW Women of Analytics Meeting, May 16th!
Event Information
Description
You are invited to our first Women of Analytics Meeting for the Dallas area, Wednesday, May 16th, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.!
The DFW Women of Analytics learning community connects and supports members by providing a friendly space to discuss and learn about emerging and new technologies, to share professional development resources and motivate each other, and to provide intentional networking opportunities. We come together to celebrate Women of Analytics and to inspire next generations to press forward gender parity, diversity, and inclusivity in the world of analytics and beyond!
The meeting will be held at the Meadows Conference Center located at 2900 Live Oak St., Dallas, TX 75204 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
For our inaugural meeting, we will begin with a discussion of why the group was formed, our mission statement, and a round of introductions.
Next, Charity Wilson, Senior Consultant at Saxony Partners, will be presenting a Sherlock Mystery using Alteryx, a self-serve data analytics software. Charity will show how she used predictive modeling to solve a mystery!
Following the presentation, we will have an open discussion requesting feedback from attendees regarding our future roadmap, presentation topics, guest speakers, and resources for Women of Analytics. We will then provide opportunities for networking (bring your business cards)!
The Women of Analytics group is open not only to women, but to all who support women in the analytics field; we encourage everyone to attend.
Please RSVP using this Eventbrite invitation; seating is limited to 30. Please also contact us if you have any questions; thank you, and we look forward to seeing you at the meeting!
