Rodriguez ATA Martial Arts Academy will host the DFW FALL Fury Jiu-Jitsu Championship for KIDS

DFW FALL FURY KIDS Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship:
Open to ALL competitors from schools and organizations. This tournament is exclusively for kids 15 and under. This is a Gi tournament especially developed for the development of Jiu-Jitsu competitors interested in testing their skills and knowledge in a safe competitive environment. Awards/Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

SUBMISSIONS NOT ALLOWED: NO TWISTING, NO SLAMING, NO CRANKING OF NECK & BACK, NO LEG ATTACKS, NO JUMPING GUARD

We try to accommodate as many athletes as possible in our events, but there is a limit on the number of athletes in order to guarantee a high quality event. THE TOURNAMENT HOST RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE REGISTRATION when we reach full capacity, or at midnight event local time on the appointed event registration deadline, whichever comes first. Each division will be scheduled at a specific time to compete in order to accommodate the audience and spectators. This will allow for the tournament to flow and competitors not to wait extended periods of time.

We strongly suggest the registration is taken care of, before any travel arrangements.

Athletes and professors who requested a change/correction must check the competitors list to make sure that the correction requested was made correctly.

At registration check in day Rodriguez Martial arts Academy will only correct typing mistakes made by our staff, on the requests made by athletes and professors sent by the deadlines above.

New corrections requests will not be made on this day.

Schedule/Brackets release date:

October 28th 2019

On this date RMAA/DFW Fall Fury will be releasing the final schedule. Time of release will depend upon tournament's organization. Each division will be scheduled at a specific time to compete in order to accommodate the audience and spectators. This will allow for the tournament to flow and competitors not to wait extended periods of time.



Uniform Requirements:

GI Material

GIs should be tailored using cotton or cotton-like fabric only. The fabric should not be as thick or hard as to impede an opponent from gripping it.GI fashioned from woven fabric is mandatory.

It is permitted to wear kimono with EVA or similar material inside the collar.

GI Color and Patches

GIs must be of uniform color.

The following colors are permissible: white, royal blue or black. Gis with tops and pants of different colors are not permitted; nor are GIs with a collar that is a different color than the rest of the top.

Painted GIs are forbidden, unless the paint is designed in the form of an academy or sponsor logo – and only on regions of the GI where patches are permitted.

Even in cases where they are permitted, the athlete will be obliged to change GIs should the paint mark the GI of the opponent.

Patches may only be affixed in authorized regions of the GI, They should be of cotton fabric and properly seamed.

Other Requirements:

Use of a shirt under the GI top is prohibited, except for women. In the female divisions, it is mandatory for the use of a stretchy or elastic shirt that hugs the body beneath the GI; it can be short or long sleeved, without the necessity to follow the color requirements. It is also permitted for athletes to use a one-piece swim garment (bathing suit) or gymnastics top.

Wearing pants of any kind under GI pants is prohibited, except for women, who are permitted to use pants made of elastic fabric (clings to body) under the GI pants, as long as these pants are shorter than the GI pants.

Athletes must use undergarments. The use of thong-type undergarments is not permitted; only briefs-type undergarments.

GIs may not exhibit mending or tears, be wet or dirty or emanate unpleasant odors.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes. Competitor age must not be earlier than 2004.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Yes. Plenty of parking available on site. If you fly into DFW airport the event site is 5 minutes from the airport near the car rental center. The host hotel is Hyatt Place DFW (Ask for ATA DFW Fall Fury Group Rate, ($114) breakfast included, book by October 4th!)
