Description

Join us for this donation based evening of devotional chant led by David Dragonfly and Satsang with Sudha & Ed. Kirtan is the practice of repeating the names of the Divine, which is understood to be the fastest way to healing and to Self Realization. The ancient teachers said that the mind is tricky and it is fast. Chantng is a power tool to combat the chaos of the mind, to refocus, reduce and reawaken. Satsang means to "sit with the truth" and is a term used when students come to listen to and contemplate the teachings of Yoga.
TANGLED
(by Sudha Allitt)
tangled up in webs of intention
the roots of the weed go deep
into the soil of fertilization
we think we can
pull the truth out of it
truth can not be forced
truth can not be spoken
truth can only be felt
a deep inner knowing
somewhere in the breath
lies an echo of freedom
repeatedly asking you
to stop and listen
to stop and feel
to recognize
what is
and what is not
asking You to Be
Real
Come broaden your vision and understanding of Yoga. Open the door of your heart to healing.
  • Jai Mata Di. Hari Om.

Satsang occurs when small groups engage in a spiritual dialogue. In satsang, participants commit to exploring the liberation of truth. It is a formal or informal gathering intended to facilitate the sharing of wisdom and is said to be a particularly important doorway to experiencing inner freedom.

Like meditation and asana, satsang is best experienced as a consistent practice as doing so will help quiet the mind and encourage one’s energies to stabilize.
