Organizations are looking to deliver more ideas more quickly. DevOps, for many, seems to be the silver bullet, streamlining the time from code complete to into production. But is that enough? What if we are building the wrong thing?

In this 2-day, hands on workshop you will experience how to visualize your complete value delivery (value stream). From there you will understand how to optimize not only your operational aspects of your products but also this creative side - giving you a product development flow that allows rapid learning in context of delivering value to your customers.

You will learn:

  • What is a product, how it differes from a service, and how to set up flows to support both
  • Visualizing the delivery of value in your organization and identifying constraints
  • Strategies for measuring impact of choices
  • Blending product thinking into architecture and delivery, in one team and across teams

You will use:

  • Value Stream Mapping to visualize the delivery of value and identify bottlenecks
  • System thinking to understand the dependencies across groups
  • Process control charts to understand the voice of the process and identify special case variance
