A seminar debating Issue 34 of Policy and Practice: A Development Education Review on the theme 'Development Education and Health'

About this event

This event has been organised by Centre for Global Education and the Development Studies Association of Ireland (DSAI) to debate the content of Issue 34 of the bi-annual, open access, peer reviewed journal Policy and Practice: A Development Education Review. The theme of this issue is ‘Development Education and Health’ which debate topical issues central to global healthcare and international development. Three of the articles published in Issue 34 will be presented at this seminar and address a diverse range of topics including: integrating planetary health into the Irish medical curriculum; ensuring COVID-19 vaccine equity for countries in the global South; and using development education methodologies to encourage active global citizenship in the National Health Service in Scotland. The seminar will enable authors to debate their articles with readers and facilitate discussion on good practice in development education. Each speaker will present their articles for 10-15mins followed by discussion. The three papers being presented at the seminar are:
