Description
BOARDS WITH BRAINS is SVP’s open-to-all nonprofit governance education series. Join us for our 2016 trainings, like this one: Create a powerful fundraising story that will inspire you to ask and move donors to give.
About this Session:
A good fundraising pitch is one part science, one part art and many parts passion. During this practical session we’ll help you give voice to the most compelling opportunities your organization gives for donors to make a difference in the world – right now. You’ll put together your own personal pitch that you will learn to modify for all kinds of donors. Attendees of this session can expect to:
- Learn tried and true approaches for developing a fundraising pitch that will appeal to your donors.
- Walk through the step-by-step process of creating your own pitch.
- Practice and refine your pitch.
About our Presenters:
Leslie Allen and Ann Goldman co-founded Front Range Source with one vision in mind: we want every fundraiser – whether volunteer or professional – to have the tools and skills needed to raise money for their vital mission. Toward that end we provide consulting, coaching, training and a toolbox of resources for nonprofits of all sizes. Together we bring more than 50 years of fundraising to our workshops. We know what you’re going through because we’ve been there.
About the BOARDS WITH BRAINS series:
SVP Boulder County believes strong nonprofits deliver better results. For our nonprofits to be wildly successful, we believe strong leaders – both staff and board – help create adept organizations. Our BOARDS WITH BRAINS professional development series was designed with that in mind. We’ve got a variety of nonprofit leadership topics, as well as ‘tracks’ and levels to help attendees identify which sessions suit them best.
Our per-session fee is a below-market $40. Individuals or organizations can purchase a transferable, 8-punch pass (giving you a $10 discount on each ticket), and, each session also includes a limited number of scholarship slots (just ask).
Please note, SVP closes registration two days prior to each session and all attendees are asked to register in advance. Day-of drop in participants will be expected to pay on site with a credit card (please note, scholarship and 8-pack pricing is not valid for drop-in attendees), and should understand there may not be sufficient quantities of session handouts and materials available for them.
