Description

More than ever, a harmonious relationship between the CEO, the CFO and the board of directors plays an integral part in the effectiveness and success of the business. Differences can occur from overall strategy, operational execution and even ethics between these teams of highly accomplished individuals.

Our speakers will share their advice in fostering positive and productive CEO/CFO/Board relationships, as well as offer strategies that CFOs can undertake to improve and expand upon in their companies. Join us!

All current CFO Leadership Council members may attend this program for free. Non-member senior financial executives who are CFOs, Vice Presidents of Finance, Directors of Finance and Controllers (or the like) are welcome to attend this program for $60.

Please note that service providers or any executives who are not senior financial executives (CFOs, Vice Presidents of Finance, Controllers, Directors of Finance, etc.) cannot attend this event. The CFO Leadership Council reserves the right to decline any registration.

Janet McGrath, CFO, Alternative Biomedical Solutions
With over 30 years as a senior financial professional, my experience includes leadership, financial reporting, accounting system conversions, due diligence, acquisitions (integrations), audit and tax management, process re-engineering, risk management, treasury, human resources and change management. I enjoy public speaking engagements especially in the area of leadership and people skills.

Ralph Stow, Managing Partner, Valeo Capital Advisors 

Ralph is an Operating Executive, Investor, and Serial Board Member. For over 25 years Ralph has been an operating executive and management advisor, with substantial for-profit board experience. His background crosses a variety of industries and functional areas of expertise. Industries include: Building Materials/Construction, Real Estate, Commercial Aviation, IT Managed Services, Manufacturing & Distribution, Oil & Gas.

Ralph currently is serving on multiple boards (Paranet, LLC; Regenesis Design Build, LLC; NeoFirma, LLC; Sheringham Corporation). Ralph is crrently working as Managing Partner at Valeo Capital Advisors. 

Stu Grubbs, CFO, Nature Nate's Honey Co.

Stu has more than 20 years of financial accounting and commercial finance leadership experience in Fortune 500 CPG companies.  He is a results driven leader with executive presence and a proven ability to lead innovative strategies that enhance financial and operational performance.

Stu is currently President and CFO at Nature Nate's Honey Co. He had lead as CFO for Daisy Brand, the largest manufacturer and supplier of clean-label, branded, cultured dairy products in North America. He built his career with industry giants holding various senior financial executive roles at The Coca-Cola Company, Bayer Consumer Care, Dean Foods and most recently Head of Finance and Operations at Red Bull Distribution Company.

Stu holds a BBA in Finance and an MS in Accounting and is a CPA. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Terry Cryan, CEO & Board Member, Global Power Equipment

Mr. Cryan has over twenty five years of experience in international business based in the US and Europe. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Ocean Power Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:OPTT). He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Westwater Resources Inc. (NASDAQ:WWR). From 2015 to 2017, he served as President and CEO of Global Power Equipment Group Inc. (GLPW), a publicly traded company based in Dallas, TX. Global Power offers design, engineering and manufacturing of a broad array of equipment as well as services to the global power infrastructure, energy and process industries. 

In 2001 Mr. Cryan co-founded Concert Energy Partners, an investment and private equity firm based in New York. Mr. Cryan’s experience at Concert Energy led him to his executive leadership roles at Trickle Up, Medical Acoustics, Uranium Resources and Global Power.
