Event description

Presidio Graduate School presents an evening webinar with Ryan Kushner, a proud Presidio graduate and the author of "Accelerate This! A Super Not Boring Guide to Startup Accelerators and Clean Energy Entrepreneurship", a collaboration with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, World Wildlife Fund, and California Clean Energy Fund.

Worldwide, there are almost 1.5 billion people without energy access. The issue is both a pressing humanitarian problem and an environmental opportunity. Responding to the risks and rewards, venture capital is increasingly being mobilized within the Clean Tech sector – over $100 million invested in just 2017 Q4 alone.

Ryan will cover questions such as: What exactly is an accelerator?! What's an accelerator versus an incubator? Should you think about doing one to grow your startup? How do you find a good one, get in, and make the most of it? If you're running a program, how can you do that most effectively? Especially as a clean energy entrepreneur, what are the things you should be anticipating? What’s the promise and what can lead to peril?

He will also walk through the major findings of the book, and regale you with anecdotes from his work with accelerator programs from all over the world - in cleantech, carbontech, oceantech, clean meat, blockchain and more!
