DevCon Mobile Camp: iOS is a FREE five-hour workshop that aims to build iOS development capabilities among the participants. At the end of the camp, participants are expected to have created their own simple working iOS app. Important: you must have a MacBook (not necessarily Pro).
PROGRAM
- 10:00 - 10:30 = On-site Registration
- 10:30 - 11:00 = "State of the Mobile Scene" by Howard Go, CEO and President of Mochibits
- 11:00 - 12:00 = Workshop on iOS Development by Ramon Pastor, Head Honcho of Numlock Solutions Co.
- 12:00 - 1:00 = Break (Lunch will be sponsored by SMART DevNet, yay!)
- 1:00 - 5:00 = Continuation of Workshop on iOS Development
REQUIREMENTS
- Familiarity with mobile devices and technologies (iOS, Android, etc.)
- Desire to learn iOS (Objective-C/Cocoa) development
- Solid understanding of OOP language/framework such as Java, C#, C++
- Mac running OS X 10.7 (Lion) or 10.8 (Mountain Lion)
- Xcode 4.6 on OS X 10.7 or 10.8
- Free account with iOS Dev Center
ABOUT THE TRAINER
Ramon Pastor is a family man and an unabashed geek. He loves Xcode but flirts with Eclipse when he's in the mood. His iPad has the words "DON'T PANIC" inscribed in large, friendly letters on its cover. And oh, he finds your lack of faith disturbing. He is the founder and head honcho of Numlock Solutions Co, a mobile development company based in the Philippines that started developing applications for iOS and Android devices in 2009.
