Detroit's Black History begins as a Fight For Freedom!

Join the Detroit Chapter of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH Detroit) on a BUS tour through Detroit's Black History!

Learn about the people, and visit the places and events of the Underground Railroad in Detroit! Learn about how African Americans in Detroit joined to fight in the Civil War and Visit their Camp! Visit the homesite of the first Black public school teacher in Detroit! Visit important sites in the historic neighborhoods of Black Bottom & Detroit!

BE A PART OF HISTORY!

Please join ASALH Detroit on this tour, where historian and ASALH Detroit president Jamon Jordan will lead us on a journey back in time to discover the rich history and strong roots of Detroit's Black community.

Tour Price - $20

The tour price includes a membership to ASALH Detroit.

We meet in the Rotunda of the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History on Saturday, September 29th at 1:45.

We get on the bus in front of the museum at 2pm.
We will provide water & refreshments on the tour. We will stop for a bathroom break.

We Return to the Museum at 5:30!
