About this event
Come join us for a pickup broomball session open to all skill levels. Participants will include existing players from teams in the new Detroit Broomball Club, and individuals interested in potentially joining the Club will have a chance to learn more about it before committing to a full session.
There will be a limited number of broomball sticks and broomball shoes available. All participants will be required to provide their own hockey helmet with face mask, which must be worn at all times while on the ice.
Additional recommended equipment to bring includes:
- Kneepads and shin pads OR hockey leg pads
- Elbow pads
- Hockey gloves OR utility gloves or similar
- One black and one white jersey or shirt
Broomball is a sport that involves some risk. As such all participants will be required to sign a waiver.

Detroit Broomball Club Inc.The Detroit Broomball Club is a recreational adult broomball organization open to men and women of all skill levels who are interested in playing the sport of broomball within the metro Detroit area. The club has weekly games on Sunday evenings and plays out of the Detroit Skating Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. There are several sessions through the year, with pick-up events hosted during the summer.
