Description

Detroit 67: Perspectives is the award-winning exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum that focuses on the rebellion in Detroit in 1967. The exhibit has been on display for a year and a half, and is filled with artifacts, art and the stories that help us to better understand those historic 5 days in July of 1967.

Please join Tour Leader and historian Jamon Jordan as he leads this tour to answer the following questions:

What occurred that helped to CAUSE the 1967 Rebellion?
What fateful and tragic events occured DURING the Rebellion?
What POSITIVE changes occured in Detroit as a RESULT of the Rebellion?
What NEGATIVE changes occurred in Detroit as a RESULT of the Rebellion?
What are the MYTHS and FALSEHOODS that are connected to the Rebellion?

What do YOU call it? A riot, a rebellion, an uprising, a civil disturbance, or something else?
And WHY?

Explore this exhibit and learn more about Detroit's turbulent racial history on this special low-priced tour with Jamon Jordan of Black Scroll Network History & Tours.

You do NOT want to miss this!
