Everyone is talking about the importance of design in building an amazing product. But what is ‘design’ actually? Why is it that so many successful companies have design at the core of their business? And how can our startup start implementing the design mindset and methods starting today?

Join us for a fascinating evening with Orit Dolev, the founder of Nomad, an award winning digital musical instrument and leads the design as part of the IoT team at Sears Israel, where you'll get the answers to all these questions and more.

About Orit:

Orit is a multidisciplinary designer focused on the cross-section of physical and digital experiences. Her portfolio includes working both with large international companies, as well as homegrown startups. Her work received several international awards such as the Red Dot Design Award, IDA Gold, Core77 and more

Orit is the founder of Nomad, an award winning digital musical instrument and leads the design as part of the IoT team at Sears Israel. Previously, she worked at Silicon Valley based design firm NONOBJECT, where she led projects from concept to life. Orit is a mentor at the Technion Accelerator and at LeadWith for empowering women in tech. She is a member of the international relations team at Shenkar and was part of the XLN founding team, a maker-space network promoting technological education. Orit served in Israel’s 8200 intelligence unit and holds a B.Des. in Industrial Design from Shenkar.
