Event Details

Creating a Moodle site is a wonderful way to foster both educational and enjoyable interactivity among your students. However, one common critique of the Moodle environment is the constant need to click on links to access further dynamic content. Therefore, this course explores the various ways in which you can access third-party applications to gather and organize dynamic content (text, images, audio, video), and then use embed code to situate it right within your Moodle page. No more clicking on links—it’s all right there! There are all sorts of basic changes you can make to your Moodle page to get your students excited and involved!

Interested in this workshop? Great! We just want to make sure you're ready to go. This workshop expects that all participants are familiar with:
• Moodle site access
• Basic Moodle fundamentals (creating assignments, links, forums, files, etc.)
• Proper Moodle organization techniques
• Basic internet browser navigation techniques

If you're unsure about your familiarity in these areas, we strongly recommend that you first take our "Jumpstart Your Online Teaching and Learning" class (1.5 hours—covers both Moodle and, or our "Moodle Ovierview" class (2 hours—covers 100% Moodle). After that, you should be set to tackle our more intermediate-level Moodle courses. You may also benefit by taking our "Jumpstart Your Tech" class for additional Mac-based technical instruction.

To ensure that participants get the most from our programs, the CiTE now categorizes our offerings by designating the levels of technological knowledge and skill for which the program has been designed.

This workshop has been designated as:

Experienced: Designed for individuals who have a working knowledge of the technology that will be used in the session and want to learn to apply it better
