Event description

Description

In early 2019, Workology distributed an “HR Artificial Intelligence (AI) Readiness” survey to its global subscriber list of over 100,000 HR practitioners (with various job titles and industries). This survey was designed to capture feedback to determine the level of understanding of what AI is, how it can be leveraged in the employee experience (EX), its implications, and whether or not HR, L&D, and other EX support professionals have a strategy to implementing AI tools within their teams.

This workshop will:

-Highlight the history of Technology in the Employee Experience, showing the progress made over the past 20 years, to use software and tools to help HR, L&D, and EX professionals move the needle from being tactical and administrative to more strategic.

-Address the macro-economic changes in the workforce (demographics, remote workers, gig economy, low unemployment, etc.) as well as the advances in technologies and related tools that have now provided HR and L&D an opportunity to use AI to work smarter, not harder.

-Opportunity to participate in design thinking exercises as to how AI can be leveraged and implemented within HR and for career development to drive employee retention.

-The results of the AI HR Readiness survey will be discussed to provide data points as to where we are (as described by HR peers who completed the survey) as to implementing AI in our companies.

-Highlight and examine use cases of AI in the employee experience today, potential implications, and steps to begin an AI strategy in your organization.

- There will be time for questions and answers and open discussion.

Beth White has over 15 years experience as a Human Resources professional and 10 years experience in developing software technology, with an emphasis on disrupting business processes. Beth saw an opportunity to help HR initiate AI and machine learning processes by leveraging chatbots to act as Virtual Assistants for HR. Through chatbot interactions, HR is able to obtain valuable real-time data that can be used to drive employee engagement strategies. Beth founded MeBeBot in 2018 and the HR TalkBot solution as the first step for an HR path to AI strategies. By automating routine HR frequently asked questions, HR gains valuable time back in their day for strategic tasks and employees have access to HR anytime, from anywhere (via mobile and computer devices). The HR TalkBot improves efficiencies, saves costs and drives optimum performance and productivity.

Beth lives in Austin, Texas and has a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from St. Edward's University (where she was also an Adjunct Professor of HR). While she has a passion for driving technology changes to enhance the employee experience, she also enjoys spending time with family, friends, the great outdoors, and exploring other countries and cultures.

Dorothy Mankey believes people can and should have the space to flourish at work.
