Should designers learn how to code? Join us on Saturday October 5th to hear from a panel of designers who are well versed in code. They will be discussing the advantages of being able to code and will go over what designers should know about development.
The panel will be moderated by Joy Liu, a multimedia designer who mainly dedicates on web-based product and application design. Joy graduated with honors from Art Center College of Design with an emphasis on interaction and packaging design. Despite her intentions to design consumer packaging for multinational brands, chance led Joy to find herself as the lead designer with Miso Media in early 2011. She fell in love with the fast pace of the tech world and the collaboration between design and development, and joined philosophie where she could extend her user-centered approach into crafting innovative strategies for digital brands and their products.
