Event description

Description

Hundreds of thousands of students apply to top US universities every year, and only a few thousand get in. The competition looks set to intensify each and every year. If you want to unlock your potential, how are you going to do it? What do you need on your application to catch the admission officer’s eyes?

How do you build a profile when you don’t know desired end-goals? There are so many possibilities for high school and college. Which one do you choose?

These questions can stop students and their parents in their tracks and too often, the dream of studying overseas is too intimidating.

That’s where this event steps in...

Learn from experts on how to make the overseas application process simpler and improve the odds of being accepted. Together, we’ll cover a range of extracurricular topics, including:

  1. How to critically evaluate extracurricular activity profiles of students currently attending your favoured institutions.

  2. Understand what drives students to participate in their extracurriculars, how they have built their personal narratives and demonstrated interest over time and how effectively they communicate all of this in a squeezed list of 10 or fewer activities.

  3. Building a framework for impacting your communities and what constitutes diversity at top US universities - and how, then, you come to align these two interests in the short time you have left prior to submitting a university application.

Most importantly, come to invest in yourself to carry out your role as a student or parent armed with a refreshed perspective.

We’ll also cover:

  • How the application process for US universities is unique

  • What an admission officer sees when they read through your list of extracurricular activities

  • How to showcase your interest, passions value through your extracurricular activities

  • What the qualities of good extracurricular profiles are

  • What separates a 6/10 application from a 9/10 application from a 10/10 application
