In 2019, Tommy thought he was done making furniture forever. While clearing trees on his brother Jimmy’s North Carolina farm, Tommy was inspired the unique qualities of a swamp oak board. He put some boards aside in case he ever made furniture again. At the start of the pandemic, Tommy’s other projects were put on hold and he opened a new shop in the North End. The first thing he did after getting set up was retrieve those boards and start working on his Bragg series.
