Description

WORKSHOP:

Are you doing science with a hidden business and innovation potential?
Do you have a great idea, but lack the tools and methods to go ahead?

Design Thinking is a practical, user-centered methodology that embrace trial and error and the immediate feedback that it provides through testing and validating rough and rapid prototypes of your idea. When combined with traditional scientific methods, Design Thinking helps speed up the innovation process, giving insight on how to design your research in order to answer both the scientific questions as well as create solutions that match the market need. The Workshop will focus on the five stages of Design Thinking – Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test - and apply them to the world of early phase research and development within Life Sciences.

After the scheduled program, we invite all participants to our Workshop Social Mixer, a gathering with food & drinks, time to mingle and reflect on workshop experiences. We will also introduce ShareLab, a new life science and biotech incubator in Oslo (tour included). See more info on Mixer in registration.

Facilitators are Federico Lozano and Mathew Lynch from Pracademy, who both have extensive experience from teaching and facilitating Design Thinking methodology from NTNU. See Pracademy website for more info.

This workshop is hosted in joint collaboration by Catapult Life Science, The Life Science Cluster, Centre for Digital Life Norway and Science for Society.
