Event description
Why should people give up the freedom of their cars? We believe the answer is joy and we've been focused on designing for just that!

About this Event

Public Transportation typically gets it wrong. They don’t define an audience, they celebrate technical achievements over experiential improvements, and usually forget that real people use their service. The "Customer Journey" is rarely in the forefront of anyone's minds.

Everyone already knows the standard transit troupes: “it’s cheaper to ride the bus” and “it’s good for the environment,” but we haven’t answered the question of why people should give up the freedom of their cars. We believe the answer to that question is joy and we've been designing everything recently to provide it.

We want this to be a coffee-soaked conversation about designing and branding for the transit user experience. We'll start off explaining our approach to this common transit problem and turn it back to the group for answers. We want to hear attendee’s positive, negative, and surreal transit experiences and how we can leverage them to improve the WeGo Public Transit experience.

Speaker:

Jason Minser is the Director of Marketing and Communications at WeGo Public Transit. He has traveled by bus since he was 11, work in transportation and transit for nearly two decades, and hasn’t driven to work in nearly the same amount of time. Jason is exclusively focused on bringing joy and delight to the transit customer journey.

Hosted by Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, WeGo Public Transit, Studio 615
