Design for America (DFA) is a student network - and so much more. Founded at Northwestern, DFA is a national network of campus studios using design innovation for social good. We encourage creativity, support local organizations, and build student capacity to take on any challenge.

Northwestern University Knight Lab is a community of designers, developers, students, and educators working on experiments designed to push journalism into new spaces.

We foster an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment for all members of the NU community, as well as innovators out in the world, interested in creating future media forms and systems.
