Talk one: Agile UX: Designing for Users on the Run

Since its inception nearly two decades ago, Agile Software Development has attracted devoted followers from almost all camps. Almost. Designers continuously struggle to justify Agile adaptations in their workplaces. Why do we, as designers, seem to have a hard time finding our place in the world of Agile? How do we reap the benefits that Agile has to offer while maintaining our user-centric vision?

Speaker: Stefan Sunarja

Hi - I’m Stefan, UX Designer at Market Logic Software. When I'm not obsessing over the design of everyday things, I devotedly follow German football, go for a run, make some music, and binge-watch TV series. So if you want to have a chat about any of those things ("will Leverkusen ever win the league?", "awesome running track in Spandau?", "wanna join my band?", "Don Draper or Harvey Specter?"), be sure to hit me up!

Talk two: Data-Driven Intuition

Intuition. It's a crucial ability that often helps guide us when we make design choices. But what if our intuition — the gut feeling we have when it comes to deciding whether a choice is the right one or not — can be improved by using data and research? This talk cover how using tools like analytics and usability testing can help us to more accurately identify user problems and create proven designs that keep real people at the centre of the experience.

Speaker: Temi A

I'm Temi — a London-born, Berlin-based designer. Design for digital platforms has been a passion of mine since I stumbled upon Microsoft Frontpage at the wide-eyed and bushy tailed age of 11. Since then, my design work has run the gamut from web and motion graphics, to interactive video, web mapping services, and most recently, mobile apps. These days, you can find me heading up the design team at Blinkist.
