Description

"Design Capitalism: How Corporate Design is Reshaping the PNW"

Cocktails 6-7 pm
Panel 7-8 pm
*Ticket includes one drink. Cash bar after.

The face of our cities and suburbs are changing—and that has a lot to do with the myriad new corporate campuses springing up throughout the Pacific Northwest, and the resulting ripple-out effects. Some of the world’s largest and most well-known companies are expanding or making new homes here. From Nike’s soon-to-be-expanded world headquarters in Beaverton to Facebook's new Frank Gehry-designed office in Seattle, it’s safe to say that many of the major building projects happening around us in the next 5 years will be by huge corporations. But will it be for good or evil? Local design visionaries, developers, and commercial-side clients discuss the concepts behind their buildings, how architecture and workplace design connects to brand strategy, and how corporations can do good for the aesthetic landscape of our cities.

*Check-in will be digital, so no need to print tickets. At the door let us know your name (or the name of the person who purchased the tickets) to look up the order. If you'd like to buy a ticket at the door, please bring $25 cash.
