Event description

Description

Deseret UAS is teaming up with Utah State University's (USU) ROAVcopters and Women and Drones to provide a 1-day (7 hour) class that gives teachers the necessary skills to integrate drones into their elementary, middle, and high school classrooms. Participants of this unique training opportunity will be eligible for Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits.

Interactive discussions and hands-on flying will be taught by Sharon Rossmark, MBA, FAA Certified Remote Drone Pilot and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Women and Drones. Ms. Rossmark is also the co-author of several drone books for children and has traveld the world speaking at events/venues such as the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. and at the World of Drones Congress in Brisbane, Australia.

Ms. Rossmark focuses her instruction on collaborating with the community through educational programs that incorporate drones into STEM programming for youth. In addition to Ms. Rossmark's instruction, USU ROAVCopters representatives will instruct participants on how to get schools registered and prepared for STEM drone tournaments.

Register for the training on either Tuesday, July 16th OR Wednesday, July 17th. Participants have the option to bring their own drone or purchase a Tello Ryze EDU Micro Drone for $129 here.
