Department of State Info Session - Career and Internship Opportunities

This info session, sponsored by the Rockefeller Center will provide an overview of the opportunities available at the Department of State.
Department of State representative Evynia Sidereas, currently a Diplomat in Residence at Tufts University, will be visiting to provide information about the overal mission of the Department of State. Sidereas will provide details on Fall, Spring and Summer Term internship opportunities, the application process and full-time opportunities at the Department of State. There will be time for questions and answers after the informational session and dinner will be served.

Evyenia Sidereas joined the U.S. Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer in 1999. Her wide-ranging overseas assignments have taken her to Thailand, Kosovo, Egypt and Iraq. Most recently, Ms. Sidereas has served in Washington, DC as a Senior Watch Officer in the Department’s Operations Center, and as Acting Director of the Maghreb Affairs Office, coordinating the State Department’s policy development on North Africa. She is currently a Diplomat in Residence at Tufts University.
A native of Chicago, Ms. Sidereas attended DePaul University, and obtained her master’s degree from the London School of Economics. Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Ms. Sidereas was a research assistant at a non-governmental organization working to promote human rights. She speaks Greek and Arabic.
