Event description

Description

Mayor Michael B. Hancock will join author Claudia Rankine for an on-stage conversation about race, social justice, and community. There will be an audience Q&A with the mayor and the author, and Rankine will sign copies of the book afterward. This event is free and open to all members of the public!

A project of Lighthouse Writers Workshop, the City & County of Denver, and NEA Big Read, Denver Talks is a community conversation about race, social justice, and Claudia Rankine's Citizen. Metro-area residents are invited to read the book and then join the discussion at Citizen-inspired writing events, book talks, and arts activities. What can we learn from the experiences presented in Citizen? How can we use what we learn to create a more inclusive and accepting community? For more, visit www.denvertalks.org.
