This practical course is planned to allow participants to evaluate their current understanding of

the potential causes for peri-implantitis and to determine what they can do to reduce the

incidence of this condition in their practice. Prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for the condition is included.

On completion of this program, participants will be able to:

1. List the current known major potential causes for implant complications and failure

2. Prioritize the importance of potential causes relative to current knowledge

3. List potential preventive and/or treatment options for the potential causes

4. Implement those preventive and treatment procedures into your practice
