Join the CCOF Foundation for a webinar that demystifies organic certification for processors.

Clarify your questions regarding organic certification for processors! Join CCOF Certification Specialist Christine Coltellaro and a certified organic processor of olive oil and body products, Ellen Roggemann of McEvoy Ranch, for a ninety-minute webinar on how to obtain and maintain organic certification for processors. Webinar participants will learn the basics of organic certification, as well as how to keep their organic certification current to avoid noncompliance.

The webinar will cover topics specific to maintaining an Organic System Plan, including recordkeeping, labeling, and using the National List to identify ingredients allowed in organic processing. This webinar is ideal for businesses looking to get into organic processing, as well as current organic processors who wish to improve their knowledge of the organic certification process.

About the Speakers

Christine Coltellaro

Christine Coltellaro is a handler certification and client service specialist with CCOF. During her four years at CCOF, Coltellaro has held positions in outreach, policy/advocacy, executive administration, and organic certification. Prior to CCOF, Coltellaro managed a production garden, taught teenagers in environmental education, and worked extensively in the restaurant industry.Coltellaro holds a degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Agriculture from the University of Washington, Seattle. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon.


Ellen Roggemann

Ellen Roggemann is an organic compliance specialist and project manager at McEvoy of Marin for both their handler (olive oil and body care) and grower (gardens and orchards) operations. In this role, she has both built organic recordkeeping systems from scratch and updated recordkeeping systems that needed additional functionality. Instead of viewing organic certification as “a pile of paperwork,” Roggemann likes to see it as a system and continually asks, “How can we capture the correct information easily in the process of our normal day?” An Urban Environmental Policy graduate from Occidental College, Roggemann is a frequent speaker at the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, the Food Craft Institute, and CUESA. She works to create organic record-keeping solutions with other growers and processors through
