Demystifying Gender Expansion in Contemporary Herbalism [ONLINE]

How can gender-expansive inclusion work within the herbal and Western medicine communities? In this class, we'll address the inequity of access to care and define terminology to provide an improved vocabulary for use in clinical practice, educational evironments, and everyday life.

We'll also dive into the energetics of herbalism through a gender-expansive lens to discern how the transgender community is impacted. Then, we'll put our learning into practice by discussing gender-expansive frameworks for care through role-play, examples, and more.

About the Teacher

Lyz (they/them) is a Registered Nurse, clinical herbalist, and proud member of the LGBTQIA2+ community with a focus on substance abuse, trauma-informed care, and equitable access to herbal health care in rural America from a dual perspective of traditional folk herbalism and scientific evidence-based herbalism, combined with western medicine.
