Description

Using case vignettes, learn the policies for involuntary transport and commitment of a client who presents a danger to themselves or others as set by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). Understand the procedures for executing an order for "1013" mental health involuntary transport and "2013" substance abuse involuntary transport. Understand coordination of services between local law enforcement and emergency receiving, evaluation and treatment facilities. Learn ethical considerations related to executing an order. Related sections of the 2014 ACA Codes of Ethics will be incorporated.
