Celebrating its fifth year, Demosplash is one of the largest demoparties in North America. It caters to both newcomers and established artists of the demoscene. Come for demos, both retro and modern, as well as for our tech talks and retro gaming!
Highlights for this year include:
- Compos, and lots of 'em!
- Our collection of retro games will be back, so check them out for a hit of nostalgia or to find a new (old?) favorite!
- Talks on retro hardware, the history of computer sound hardware, and more.
- And as always, we'll be playing demos on their original hardware throughout the party.
Please note that we'll be back in our old location: The Gates-Hillman Center at Carnegie Mellon University, and events will be held in and around the Rashid Auditorium (GHC 4401).
When & Where
Carnegie Mellon University Computer Club
The Computer Club at CMU offers the opportunity for interested students to tinker with unique hardware, promote open source development and advocacy, and hack on interesting programming projects, while offering a variety of useful services to the campus community.
The club also maintains a large active retrocomputing collection, including a number of classic DEC servers connected to the internet and a huge array of early home computers used to show graphics demos and host retro gaming events.
