Democracy Fair and 8th CD Democrats organizational meeting
Sat, April 29, 2017, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM PDT
The Washington 8th Congressional District Democratic Committee (W8CDDC) is the official board of Washington's 8th CD Democrats. We are entirely volunteer-run, and rely upon donations to perform our work of publicizing the record of our current Congressional representative and replacing him with a progressive Democrat.
On April 29, 2017, we will be holding our first Democracy Fair and organizational meeting.
At the Democracy Fair, you'll be able to meet both official Democratic Party representatives and independent grassroots groups, and learn about how we are working to resist the Republican Administration and fight for our progressive values. We will have special guest speakers who will tell us more about what we can each do to improve the nation, and our little corner of it.
At the organizational meeting, voting members will have the opportunity to select the chair of the W8CDDC, as well as other board members, and will be able to volunteer for our working groups.
The Democracy Fair and organizational meeting are free for all attendees. We ask that you "purchase" a free ticket so that we make sure we have the appropriate size facility and contact you with more information about the meeting.
In order to vote for board members and on other issues during the organizational meeting, you must reside within the 8th CD.
If you are an elected PCO (as of Dec 1 2016) residing in the 8th CD, you are already a voting member of the W8CDDC.
If you reside in the 8th CD but are not an elected PCO, you can become a voting member upon paying $20 dues to the W8CDDC.

We look forward to meeting you!
