Dementia Friendly Massachusetts: Creating Welcoming Communities
A statewide convening to share models and tools for expanding age- and dementia friendly communities.

Please join us to explore community-wide adaptions that can improve livability and quality of life for the growing number of individuals and families affected by dementia.

Opening Remarks by Alice Bonner, Massachusetts Secretary of Elder Affairs, and Nora Moreno Cargie, President of Tufts Health Plan Foundation, Vice President, Corporate Citizenship, Tufts Health Plan, and Members of the Power & Purpose Advisory Group, speaking about living with dementia.

 


 

When: Thursday, November 9, 2017
9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (doors open at 9:00)

Optional: Dementia Friends Champion training, 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., by pre-registration only. Learn more.

Where: Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel & Trade Center

Cost: $40
Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided.

An application has been submitted for CEUs for social workers, RNs, and LMHCs.

The Dementia Friendly Massachusetts Initiative is co-convened by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA) and Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JF&CS), and managed by representatives from the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter, LeadingAge Massachusetts, Massachusetts Association of Councils on Aging, Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative, and the Multicultural Coalition on Aging. The Advisory Committee includes over 40 organizations statewide. DFMI is generously supported by Tufts Health Plan Foundation.
