Event description

Description

Join artist Jane Fordham in an entertaining and active drawing session. Working with Shrigley's 'Life Model II' the group will follow some of his own work practices, for example, making work as a cathartic process: “making art has a very positive effect on my emotional state” and “creating things is good while destroying things is usually bad”.

This event is open to care partners and care staff. Drawers at all levels of experience are welcome, from total beginners to the very experienced. Our venue is wheelchair accessible and welcoming to all, and will be open to the public during this session.

This event is part of Draw for Life, a dementia-friendly life drawing project supported by Dementia Action Alliance. Other sessions take place on Tuesdays 24 & 31 April, 8, 22 & 29 May and 5 June at Brooke Mead, Albion Street and are free for people living with a dementia and their carers.
