Event description
Dementia UK invites you to hear more about the impact of dementia and Covid-19 on employee wellbeing.

About this Event

Dementia UK aims to bring specialist dementia support closer to those who need it, including in the workplace. Workplaces are well-placed to provide an anchor of support, giving structure and stability when other aspects of daily life can be unpredictable and fragmented. We aim for this webinar to help guide those who can embed this support including HR, wellbeing and CSR professionals, managers who have concerns about team members and staff leading carers networks.

The session will focus on the impact of dementia and Covid-19 on employee wellbeing, highlighting the challenges families living with dementia continue to face and the need to embed support at work. We welcome Laura Matthews, Barnett Waddingham’s Senior Wellbeing Consultant, who will co-host the session with Daisy Wilson, Dementia UK’s Corporate Development Manager and share key insights on general challenges and trends when it comes to wellbeing at work. The session will cover topics such as key stresses caused by Covid-19 for carers and people diagnosed with dementia, the impact of dementia on employers, young onset dementia, and the financial impact of dementia.

We will host a Q & A with Dementia UK’s Chief Admiral Nurse and Chief Executive, Hilda Hayo. Hilda has been the Chief Admiral Nurse and Chief Executive Officer for Dementia UK since 2013, with over 39 years’ experience developing and leading dementia specialist teams and services throughout the NHS. We want this session to be as helpful as possible so please send questions in advance to corporate.partnerships@dementiauk.org.
