Dementia 101: Reducing your Risk

Dementia Friendly Denver is an affiliate of Dementia Friendly America, a not for profit, volunteer based initiative announced at the White House Conference on Aging in 2015, whose mission is to make communities across the nation more dementia friendly, reduce dementia stigma, and improve the quality of life for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and their family care partners.

Dementia Friendly Denver offers a one hour dementia education program at no cost to government, business, academic, community and faith groups throughout the Denver area.

Medicare 101: The Basics

Kathy Madden works for the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Insurance and has been the SHIP/SMP Partners Services and Training Manager for the past 6 years. She has sent most of her career training all over the country on a variety of topics in the human services realm.

She has experience and knowledge about Medicare, Medigap, Medicare Advantage, and Medicare-related topics. Kathy is passionate about advocating for seniors and understands that consumer education is key to beneficiaries making informed Medicare decisions, and preventing fraud and abuse within the Medicare program. She is excited and honored to help consumers, stakeholders and partners navigate the complex Medicare system.
