Event description

Description

The workshop will start with an overview of inventory in the supply chain, some of the traditional inventory management methods, the challenges to managing this inventory and different potential solutions to help supply chain inventory. Next, our workshop will focus on how the concept of Demand-Driven Inventory planning can address the shortcoming of traditional MRP/DRP/ERP methods. One of the industry's leading experts on Demand-Driven Planning, Mr. Keith Launchbury will provide an in-depth introduction to Demand-Driven Inventory Planning and how companies can start down the path of implementing this new innovative inventory planning approach. Specific Demand-Driven Planning topics that will be covered include:

  • How did we get to where we are today with traditional inventory planning models
  • The new normal – dealing with uncertainty
  • Understanding product flow, decoupling demand and buffering the supply chain.
  • The Demand-Driven Operating Model
  • Using DDMRP (Demand Driven Materials Resource Planning) in your business.
  • Starting your DDMRP journey.
