About the Event

How can public policy promote emerging technology for good in the era of digital transformation?

Dell technologies, Thrival and Postindustrial invite Thrival attendees and the public Thrival attendees and the public to participate in the Dell PolicyHack at Thrival 2019 to hack out solutions for the future. A PolicyHack is a hackathon where teams from all walks of life design solutions to policy challenges, and then present to judges, including policymakers, who decide which team has the most viable idea.

Be sure to bring your laptops to join in on the fun!

  • Intro by Cris Turner, Vice President and Head of Office Americas Government Affairs, Dell
  • Teams hack for 60 minutes
  • Presentation by teams to judges. Judges include William Peduto, Mayor, City of Pittsburgh; Cris Turner, Vice President and Head of Office Americas Government Affairs, Dell; Noopur Davis, Senior Vice President and Cheif Product and Information Security Officer, Comcast; and Lenore Blum, Distinguished Career Professor of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University
  • Winner announced by judges

FUTURE OF WORK AND TECHNOLOGY PANEL

The Dell Policyhack will be followed by a panel with the Policyhack Judges discussing emerging technologies and the future of work. *Please note only PolicyHack participants and Thrival ticket holders may attend.*
