About this event
The primary objective of this workshop is to help businesses of all sizes across different sectors, to prevent very well intended decisions at the time being made at the tendering, operational or project delivery stages, from inadvertently exposing their organisation to significant commercial, contractual and legal risks with customers and their extended supply chains, which can often lead to financial and reputational losses through missed revenue opportunities, costs that could not be recovered, and costly commercial disputes.
In today's dynamic business landscape, commercial and contractual awareness isn't just for sales or procurement teams. It's essential across all parts of the business. Every team member's ability to understand commercial principles directly impacts your company's success. This workshop addresses the critical points where every-day operational decisions can unknowingly trigger:
- Missed revenue opportunities and unrecoverable costs
- Contract breaches and liability exposure
- Commercial disputes, claims, and reputational damage
- Supply chain disruptions and relationship breakdowns
- Financial losses that could have been prevented
Target Audience
Primary Participants:
- Engineering project managers and engineers
- Construction project managers and site managers
- Operations managers and supervisors
- Technical specialists and discipline leads
- Project coordinators and planners

An interactive workshop where we explore the key areas of commercial and contractual success within extended supply chains for both large and small businesses across different sectors, with ready to go tools and techniques to enhance business performance.
From Tech or Service startups through to large, established businesses. With feedback from previous workshops including comments such as “really insightful and thought provoking”, “good balance of theory and practical”, “good handbook with slides and notes to review back at the office”, “good tools and examples shared” and “easy to follow examples and not overly legal or technical in language”, we are proud to offer our next public course on Wednesday 26th November 2025 at Newmachar Golf Club, with plenty of free parking.
