The annual “Delicate Balance of Nature” lecture series will be presented in a new format this year, virtually on Zoom, and sponsored by the Friends of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park.

Join us on Zoom on April 28th, from 7 to 8:30PM, with Dr. Frank Ridgley DVM, the head of Zoo Miami’s Conservation and Research Department and a research associate at Florida International University, to learn more about the elusive Florida Panther. His talk will focus on the techniques used by state and federal agencies to unlock the secrets of this endangered big cat so that it can be better protected. He will also address some of the continued risks to its future survival.
