Delete the Pain Seminars and Dr. Matt Burnett

Dr. J. Matthew Burnett opened Burnett Family Chiropractic & Sports Performance in 2008, with the hopes of uniting the effectiveness of chiropractic care with benefits of traditional medicine and continues to expand this vision and philosophy.

Dr. Burnett has been in practice for 10 years, starting his career at Wheeling Jesuit University, where he received a bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine, graduating summa cum laude. Following, he attended National University in Chicago where he earned an additional degree in Biology as well as his Doctorate of Chiropractic. Since then, Dr. Burnett has been busy creating and developing his special approach and high-end respect in the medical world, evolving his philosophy with an integrated and collaborative approach with patients as well as other doctors in the community.

Dr. Burnett treats a wide range of patients, but has an overall special niche in the athletic world treating local as well as professional athletes. His experience started as an athlete himself at Wheeling Jesuit University, where he was a four year varsity letter winner and NCAA Academic All-American with the Men’s soccer team. Dr. Burnett continued his soccer career as the assistant men’s and women’s soccer coach at Illinois Tech in Chicago while earning his doctorate degree. Upon graduation, Dr. Burnett stayed on with Illinois Tech as their Strength and Conditioning Coach. After moving to Pittsburgh in 2004, Dr. Burnett quickly got involved in the soccer community. He started his local coaching career as the assistant coach for the girls Norwin varsity soccer team, and after transferring schools, serving as the assistant coach of the Peters Township High School girls varsity soccer team from 2010-2013. In addition to his successful coaching career, Dr. Burnett has earned the great privilege of working with over a hundred NFL athletes from 9 different teams. He continues to see athletes from MLB, NHL, LPGA, PGA, and professional boxers. All of this experience, in turn, has had an influential impact on his career, specialty, and respect in the medical and athletic world.
