Join us along with fellow Advocates from all over the state of Delaware and let your voice be heard on behalf of those affected by lupus!
Make Your Voice Heard at the Delaware State Capital
The Lupus Foundation of America’s first Delaware Lupus Advocacy Day will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Lupus Advocacy Day provides lupus advocates from around the state of Delaware the opportunity to meet with their elected members of the state house and senate to educate them about lupus and public policies impacting the lupus community.
WHY ATTEND THE DELAWARE LUPUS ADVOCACY DAY? Lupus is one of the cruelest, most mysterious diseases on earth, yet much needed resources and research on lupus remains underfunded relative to its scope and devastation. We need everyone to help make lupus awareness a top priority at the state’s capital.
PLEASE JOIN US! State advocates are needed to travel to Dover, DE to meet with house and senate representatives. Help us elevate lupus on Delaware's public health agenda!
Advocates must provide their own transportation to and from the state capital. If transportation is your only barrier to participating, call us at 866-517-5070.
Lunch will be provided to all participating advocates.
Final details and confirmation will be sent to all registered participants. Please be sure to obtain multiple tickets for those residing at the same address ONLY. Otherwise, please register each participant separately. Meetings will be set up with your specific district representative and senator based on the address you provided.
