With decades of service to our country in the armed forces, government, and in industry, General Bob Edmonds is pleased to join us for our June 8 A&D Forum meeting.  General Edmonds will share his insights on a range of defense topics, including:
  • Overview of the state of global security / threats
  • Outlook for the defense budget and spending
  • Perspective on the early days of the new administration and impact on defense
  • Perspectives on key programs, including the F-35
  • Future trends in defense technology
Come join us for an insightful and informative discussion with General Edmonds on key topics facing the defense industry. 

Guest Presenter

General Bob Edmonds was an F-15C Eagle pilot in the USAF in numerous flying positions, both as an instructor pilot and operations officer, and led 42 Combat missions during Operation Desert Storm. He commanded the 95th Fighter Squadron, Tyndall AFB, Fla., which was named the 325th Fighter Wing Squadron of the Year under his command, and the 131st Fighter Wing, St. Louis, Mo. He retired from the USAF after 28 years of service, with the rank of Brigadier General.  His decorations include two Defense Superior Service Medals, two Legions of Merit, and five Air Medals.
 
After retiring from active duty, Bob spent nearly a decade of work in D.C., on Capitol Hill, in the White House and the Pentagon.  He led the U.S. Air Force's Senate Liaison office in the Russell Building on Capitol Hill during a momentous period of congressional history after September 11, 2001 and handled U.S. Air Force congressional affairs with both the House and the Senate as the Deputy Director for Legislative Liaison.  Selected for the White House Fellowship in 1995, Bob was a special assistant to the Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, a member of President Clinton's cabinet.
 
Most recently, at Exelis and until its acquisition by Harris Corporation, Bob was the senior executive for air force and aviation programs and led the company's corporate government relations and business development function.  Currently, he is a Senior Vice President with Elbit Systems of America, where he is responsible for the growth of the company and leading all marketing activities
