All life on Earth relies on the ocean— yet, the ocean remains 95 percent unexplored, unknown, and unseen by human eyes. Join us, along with NOAA’s Office of Ocean Exploration and Research, as we look at the tools used to explore the deep sea. In Part I of our two-part series you’ll map a hidden landscape using SONAR simulation, investigate remotely operated vehicle technology by building a robotic arm, and learn more about America’s first federally operated ship dedicated solely to ocean exploration.
Tickets are $7 for adults ($5 for students) and include complimentary refreshments.
Public Program Ticket Policy:
Ticketholders are encouraged to arrive 15-20 minutes before a program begins as seating is unassigned and is available on a first-come, first served basis. Unused and unclaimed tickets will be sold 5 minutes before the beginning of a program to individuals who are waiting onsite. We cannot issue refunds to the original ticketholders.
If one person purchases tickets for a group, that person should provide the names of all individuals in his/her group. Those individuals may then pick up their tickets and enter upon arrival, space permitting.
Advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended for programs to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in our interactive, collaborative formats. Space is typically limited to 50-80 participants, depending on the program format.
