Event Details

During this Google+ hangout, I will teach you a deep relaxation practice called Yoga Nidra. The name roughly translates to “yogic sleep.” As you lie comfortably on the floor, I'll guide you through a detailed scan of your entire body to recognize and release any areas of holding, control or tension. Resting in this state of expanded awareness, you activate your body's innate healing capacity. Although you remain completely awake and aware for the entire hour, many people report feeling like they have just taken a 3-4 hour nap. Regular Yoga Nidra practice can help to relieve anxiety, stress, fatigue, chronic pain, depression and insomnia. It’s one of the most powerful sources of deep healing that I’ve ever experienced.
If you'd like to join me, here's what you need: 
  • high speed internet connection
  • Google Plus account (
  • quiet space where you will not be interrupted
  • comfortable clothing
  • blanket or yoga mat to lie down on
  • another blanket to keep you warm during the practice
  • a pillow for your head, and possibly a pillow under your knees to support your lower back
No prior yoga experience necessary! You will simply be resting comfortably as you listen to my voice. If possible, please refrain from eating for about 90 minutes before the practice to support optimal digestion.
