The Cuban Canadian artist arrived in Canada June 2000 for her second tour with Los Primos Project touring Atlantic Canada’s Music Festivals, that same year Dee made Canada her home and moved to Toronto. Dee has performed played in many festivals like Toronto Habor Front, Harvest, Halifax Jazz Fest and recorded two songs for a children’s album at the Canadian studio Metal Works with Fisher Price. While competing on the vocal show Canadian Idol, just falling short of the top ten, she was called “A World Class Jazz Singer” by Sass Jordan. That same year, Dee recorded her first album, co-writing with members of Canadian Pop/Rock band The Moffatt Brothers in Nashville.
