Event description
This educational seminar will provide attendees with information shedding light on fire alarm inspection, testing and maintenance.

About this Event

This seminar will provide fire officials, engineering/facilities managers, and business owners with information specific to fire alarm inspection, testing and maintenance that will ensure systems are maintained in accordance with National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code standards. Lack of code compliant inspection and maintenance is a contributing factor to fire alarm failure and also leads to unwanted fire alarm calls, which negatively impact the business owner and local fire department. This course will provide attendees with the criteria to ensure fire alarm systems remain in operational condition which will improve fire and life safety for the building occupants.

Who should attend?

  • Facility managers and directors, directors of public safety, campus safety executives, healthcare administrators, architects, engineers and other professionals.

At the completion of the seminar participants will:

  • Understand the International Fire Code (IFC) requirements for inspection, testing and maintenance (ITM) of building fire alarm systems.
  • Have a better understanding of the National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code (NFPA 72), chapter 14, and what is required for maintaining fire alarm systems.
  • Discuss why maintaining fire alarm systems is so important and what happens when fire alarm systems are not maintained properly.
  • Address ITM criteria for specific initiating devices as outlined in NFPA 72.

Attendees have two registration options for this event:

  • February 26th, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
  • February 27th, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

*Light refreshments will be provided.
