Decisions Teen Workshop
Sat, April 1, 2017, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM EDT
Teen Intensive Workshop: 4/1/17
Teenagers are constantly advised toward one extreme after another. Their parents and teachers likely push them toward maturity and responsibility. Friends usually suggest conformity to peers and pursuing that which will bring the most immediate pleasure. The image portrayed by many musicians, actors, and athletes glorifies sex and drugs and untamed selfishness. With these conflicting views, how does a Christian teenager decide how to live?
In this intensive Saturday workshop, we will look at consequences of our decisions. The choices made today can determine our future and our eternity. Through video/ discussion, curriculum content Pastor Eric Mason encourages students to make every decision out of a worldview shaped by God's Word and centered around our Savior, Jesus. This event calls teens to abandon the idea that choices made in youth are temporary and meaningless, and instead to make decisions now that will impact both their lives and God's Kingdom for eternity.
Key speaker former FSU/NFL football player Dedrick Dodge, will talk to the students about his story and allow time for questions. Coach Dodge played in Super Bowl XXIX for the San Francisco 49ers and in Super Bowl XXXII for the Denver Broncos. He also played for the London Monarchs in the inaugural season of the World League of American Football; London won the first World Bowl that year, meaning that Dodge has three pro football championship rings. This is a can't miss opportunity for all young people. No cost for participants. Lunch will be provided.
